Vietnamese Woman Jumps to Her Death Holding Her Two-Week-Old Daughter
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] In an apartment in Gimhae, Gyeongnam, a Vietnamese woman jumped to her death holding her two-week-old daughter; the daughter died and the woman is in critical condition.
According to the police on the 3rd, around 6:50 p.m. the previous day, a woman in her 20s identified as A, of Vietnamese nationality, and her approximately two-week-old daughter were found collapsed in an apartment in downtown Gimhae.
A's daughter died, and A was taken to a nearby hospital but was confirmed to be in critical condition.
The police, who responded to a report from A's Korean husband, reportedly found a note in the form of a suicide letter about one page long left by A.
During the police investigation, A's husband stated, "My wife had been showing symptoms of depression."

The police plan to determine the exact circumstances of the incident based on the note left by A and testimonies from those around her, and will conduct an autopsy on A's daughter to confirm the exact cause of death.
