Jeongeup-si, Fully Committed to Building a Citizen Safety City
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jae-gil] Jeongeup City, Jeonbuk Province announced on the 3rd that it will conduct the 2020 Mobile Civil Defense Training and open a Citizen Safety Lecture starting from the 6th to establish a citizen safety city.
This pre-education aims to protect residents' lives and property from national emergencies such as state emergencies, earthquakes, and typhoons.
It also seeks to establish a social emergency rescue system so that emergency patients such as those with cardiac arrest can receive prompt first aid and rescue from bystanders.
This training is prepared with a historical security lecture themed "The History of the Korean Nation Overcoming National Crises and the Future of the Korean Peninsula," along with practical experience training in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) protection, disaster preparedness, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and first aid.
Prior to this, the city selected 10 professional civil defense instructors.
The expert instructors will conduct CPR training by touring village senior centers in each eup, myeon, and dong from the 6th to the 17th.
A city official said, "We have prepared various life-saving programs aimed at securing citizen safety during civil defense situations and training life-saving personnel," adding, "We will conduct both daily civil defense experiential education and life-saving personnel training simultaneously."
