Taiwan Air Force Chief of Staff Dies in Helicopter Crash Accident
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] According to reports from the South China Morning Post and others on the 2nd (local time), eight people, including the Chief of Staff of the Taiwanese military, died in a helicopter crash.
According to the reports, at around 8:07 a.m. that day, a Black Hawk (UH-60M) helicopter carrying 13 people, including Chief of Staff Shen Yiming (瀋臺鳴) and other high-ranking military officials, departed from Songshan International Airport and crashed. It is reported that communication was lost after the helicopter finished communicating about the weather conditions before the crash.

The SCMP reported that, as of now, eight people including Chief of Staff Shen have died in the accident. Five others survived and were transported to the hospital.
