According to Chungnam Fire Department on the 2nd, a report of hydrochloric acid leakage was received around 7:09 AM at a steel factory in Baemidong, Asan, Chungnam.
The report stated that vapor was leaking from a decommissioned hydrochloric acid storage tank. This tank has a storage capacity of about 30 tons, and the Chungnam Fire Department currently estimates that 1,000 liters of hydrochloric acid have leaked.
