The Ministry of National Defense announced on the 20th that South Korea and the United States conducted a combined air exercise involving the deployment of a U.S. B-1B strategic bomber.
This exercise marks the first "U.S. Strategic Bomber Deployment Combined Air Exercise" conducted this year. Participating aircraft included the U.S. Air Force's B-1B strategic bomber and F-16 fighter jets, as well as the Republic of Korea Air Force's F-35A and F-15K fighter jets.

The combined air exercise was conducted to demonstrate the U.S. extended deterrence capabilities against North Korea's advancing nuclear and missile threats and to enhance the interoperability of the combined forces of South Korea and the United States.
