Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority (Commissioner Park Seongho) will participate in the 'Korea International Machinery Expo 2026 (KIMEX 2026)' to carry out investment promotion activities.
The Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority announced that it will operate a promotional booth at the expo held at Changwon Convention Center from the 19th to the 22nd, where it will conduct investment consultations for companies in the smart transportation and advanced materials, components, and equipment (materials, parts, and equipment) sectors.
This expo is hosted by Gyeongnam Province and Changwon City, and features 160 companies and 350 booths.
During the event, there will be exhibitions and consultations related to future industries such as aerospace and shipbuilding MRO, as well as fields in the machinery industry including metal processing and automation.
The Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority explained that AI-based smart factories, eco-friendly shipbuilding MRO, and advanced materials, components, and equipment are highly connected to the Authority's strategic industries. At the on-site booth, investment promotion experts will be present to provide one-on-one consultations to companies.
In addition, key investment promotion districts such as Busan New Port and the Mieum and Nammung districts, as well as the incentive system, will be introduced. During the event, the Authority will also show promotional videos and distribute both Korean and English promotional materials.

Park Seongho, Commissioner of the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority, said, "This will be an opportunity to promote the investment environment of the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone in Changwon, a hub of the machinery industry," and added, "We will strive to attract outstanding companies and support their entry into the global market."
