Hana Securities and DataGen Launch Second Public Offering of Handon Investment Contract Security
Subscription Available via Findon Platform from June 14 to 27
Hana Securities announced on the 13th that, in collaboration with DataGen, it will conduct the second public offering of Korea's first investment contract security based on domestic pork (Handon) as an underlying asset.
This second public offering will be available from the 14th to the 27th through the Findon platform, targeting customers who hold Hana Securities accounts. The number of shares to be issued is 10,640, with an issue price of 20,000 won per share. The total fundraising target is approximately 212.8 million won. The underlying assets consist of 500 Handon pigs, with the goal of selling them within 3 to 6 months after the completion of the raising period.
The key feature of this offering is that it has been structured as an investment contract security based on actual Handon physical assets, allowing participation from general investors. In this project, Hana Securities acted as the account management institution, supporting the overall advisory and structural design of the investment contract security issuance, from product structuring to public offering, subscription, and fund management.
For the previously launched first product, all 10,812 shares on offer were fully subscribed by the morning of the subscription day, with a final subscription rate of 282%. The underlying assets were sold on April 30, and the total sale amount was tallied at 255,946,891 won. On May 11, exactly 89 days after the subscription closed, investor profit and loss settlements through Hana Securities accounts were also completed.
