Korea Investment & Securities Launches "JP Morgan US Tech Fund"
Korea Investment & Securities announced on May 7 that it will launch the "Korea Investment JP Morgan US Tech Equity Investment Trust" in partnership with global asset manager J.P. Morgan Asset Management, focusing on investments in U.S. technology stocks.
This is a feeder fund product that invests in the "J.P. Morgan US Technology Fund," which is established in Luxembourg, as its master fund. More than 60% of the fund's total assets are invested in the master fund, targeting companies that align with the long-term growth trends of the U.S. technology industry.
Unlike products that rely solely on market capitalization-weighted strategies centered on specific indices or large-cap tech stocks, this fund selects stocks based on fundamental research. The portfolio is diversified across approximately 50 to 70 stocks.
A representative from Korea Investment & Securities explained, "The fund not only discovers large-cap tech stocks such as Nvidia, Apple, and Microsoft, but also broadly seeks out companies related to networking, power, memory, and customized processors that are expected to benefit from the expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) computing infrastructure."
This product follows the strategic business agreement signed between Korea Investment & Securities and J.P. Morgan Asset Management in March 2026. Previously, their first collaborative product, the "J.P. Morgan Global High Yield Fund," attracted approximately 81.2 billion won in retail funds within about a week after its sales launch on March 9, 2026.
Kim Sunghwan, CEO of Korea Investment & Securities, stated, "Through our collaboration with J.P. Morgan Asset Management, we are expanding our products and services so that domestic investors can more conveniently access diverse investment opportunities in the global market. Going forward, we will continue to strengthen our global financial network to provide investment solutions that contribute to the growth of our clients' assets."
