Seoul Energy Corporation Revamps Dull Exterior Walls with Line Drawing Murals and LED Lighting

According to the corporation, the area around the exterior walls of the Mokdong headquarters previously lacked sufficient brightness at night and had poor signage, making it difficult for people to intuitively recognize what kind of public facility it was. There were also criticisms that the long walls and monotonous exterior gave the impression that the facility was separated from the surrounding pedestrian space.
The corporation installed LED lighting utilizing the Seoul Energy Corporation CI at the top of the exterior wall near the crosswalk, improving visibility at night. This allows pedestrians to move in a bright environment even during dark hours, while also making it easier to identify the Seoul Energy Corporation headquarters and plant facilities.
On the lower part of the exterior wall, line drawings depict district energy supply pipes, the cityscape, and eco-friendly energy images. The design enables citizens passing through everyday pedestrian spaces to naturally understand the corporation's role in supplying district heating and eco-friendly energy.
