Emart announced on May 15 that it will hold its largest wine discount event of the first half of the year, the "Wine Market," through May 20.
This year's Wine Market features a wide range of selections, including globally popular wines, wines exclusive to Emart, value-for-money bottles, and premium wines, expanding the choices available to customers.

View original imageFirst, for customers who pay the full amount with the designated event card, Emart is offering significant discounts on globally popular wines at competitive prices compared to the overseas average, in order to ease the burden of high exchange rates. For example, "Calera Chardonnay" and "Calera Pinot Noir" (750ml, USA), which are popular value wines from California with average overseas prices of 40,122 won and 46,066 won respectively, are available for 31,840 won and 37,600 won each.
The popular French champagne "Laurent-Perrier La Cuvee Brut NV" (750ml, France) is also offered at 63,840 won, which is lower than the overseas average of 92,132 won. The limited edition "M. Chapoutier Gigondas Artist Label" (750ml, France), a collaboration with local artist Baek Doori, is available for 34,800 won, compared to the overseas average of 47,552 won.
During the event, Emart is also offering exclusive products available only in its stores. One highlight is the newly launched "La Chapelle de Lafon Rochet 2017" (750ml, France), available for 43,840 won when purchased with the event card. This special product was curated by Emart's wine buyer, who attended an international trade fair in person and conducted prior negotiations to secure it for the Wine Market.
In addition, "Bruliere de Beychevelle 2022" (750ml, France) is available for 43,840 won, and "Le Monde Perdu Chenin Blanc" (750ml, France) for 13,860 won.
There are also daily wines available for under 20,000 won. "Vinocus 713 The Red 2015" (750ml, France) is priced at 12,500 won, and "Lan Mencion Reserva 2016" (750ml, Spain) is available for 10,800 won. Wines from renowned regions such as Chile and Italy are also offered at a flat price of 9,900 won.
From May 16 to 17, "1865 Cacao Golf Bag Special Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz" (750ml, Chile) can be purchased for 32,800 won each with full payment using the event card. Then, from May 18 to 20, "Castel Rochemage Cabernet/Chardonnay/Merlot/Pinot Noir" (750ml, France) will be available for 9,900 won each with the event card.
From May 16 until the end of the event, "Andrian Pinot Noir 2024" (750ml, Italy), "Andrian Movado Gewurztraminer 2024" (750ml, Italy), and "Erickson & Caradin Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon" (750ml, USA) can be purchased for 39,900 won each. In addition, 24 types of wines priced between 60,000 and 90,000 won can be purchased as a set of two bottles for 99,900 won.
Wines from renowned regions are also offered at discounted prices. "Mongeard-Mugneret Bourgogne Pinot Noir/Chardonnay" (750ml, France), produced in the Burgundy region, is priced at 59,800 won each, and the signature Napa Valley wine "Annabella Napa Cabernet Sauvignon" (750ml, USA) is offered at 29,800 won.
There is also a diverse range of premium wines exclusive to the "Wine Grab" service. Wine Grab is a service in the Emart application (app) that allows customers to select a pickup date and store and reserve their desired wines in advance. Representative deals include "Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley + Chateau Montelena Napa Chardonnay" (750ml x 2) and "Robert Mondavi Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville 2021 + Shafer Red Shoulder Ranch Chardonnay 2024" (750ml x 2), each offered at 199,000 won.

Go Ara, the wine buyer at Emart, said, "For this year's Wine Market, we focused on securing competitive prices compared to the overseas average and exclusive products to ease the financial burden caused by the high exchange rate." She added, "With a broad selection ranging from daily wines to premium collector wines, we expect that a variety of customers will be able to enjoy wine at reasonable prices."
