[New Arrivals] What Does Tomato-Flavored MyChew Taste Like?
MyChew from Crown Confectionery Recorded Sales of 35 Billion Won Last Year
Enhanced with Vitamins C and D and a Tomato Flavor
Crown Confectionery announced on the 13th that it has launched "MyChew Tomato." Since its initial release in 2004, the MyChew product line has expanded with fruit flavors such as grape, strawberry, and peach, but this is the first time it is introducing a product made with vegetables.
The company explained that this move reflects continuous requests from consumers on social networking services (SNS) and other platforms, expressing their desire to try tomato-flavored MyChew. The strategy is to target new demand by adding the unique taste of vegetables to the existing sweet fruit flavors.
The product contains vitamins C and D, with added tomato flavor to emphasize the "Healthy Pleasure" concept.
The pre-release sales response was also positive. After first launching on the CJ Olive Young online mall, which is popular among younger consumers, the company reported that "MyChew Tomato" reached the number one spot in both popularity and sales rankings within the snacks, chocolate, and dessert categories just one week after its launch. MyChew recorded sales of 35 billion won last year.
