"Yeongdeok Su(hw)haeng" is a Wednesday humanities program designed in celebration of Culture Day, enabling residents to easily and accessibly experience the humanities in their daily lives.
The foundation plans to continue the lecture series five times, holding one session on the last Wednesday of each month from May through September.
The first lecture will feature astronomer Lee Myunghyun as the speaker, who will deliver a humanities talk about the universe and humanity, focusing on the book "Cosmos."
The lecturer is the head of the science bookstore "Galda" and serves as the president of the Private Council for Science Culture. He is also the author of titles including "Earthling's Study of the Universe" and "School of Science and Life."
He has contributed to the popularization of science by appearing on various TV programs such as JTBC's "Differentiated Class" and tvN's "You Quiz on the Block."
This special lecture is themed "Useful Yeongdeok Encyclopedia of Trivia" and focuses on connecting science and the humanities to the lives of local residents.
The foundation expects this event to provide participants with a new perspective on the universe and humanity through the eyes of an astronomer.
