Samcheok City Temporarily Opens 'Isabu Dokdo Peace Bridge' Public Parking Lot
Samcheok City in Gangwon Province has constructed a public parking lot at 48-228 Jeongha-dong and temporarily opened it to the public starting from May 19, 2026.
The temporarily opened parking lot covers a total area of 5,619 square meters and can accommodate 113 vehicles, including 88 spaces for general vehicles and 3 spaces exclusively for people with disabilities.
Samcheok City plans to fully open the parking lot in the second half of 2026 after completing the remaining landscaping and other works.

Previously, the city had improved accessibility between the target site of the ‘Isabu History and Culture Creation Project’ and the departure site of General Isabu by constructing a 190-meter pedestrian bridge connecting the two locations.
