2026 1st Joint Business Committee Meeting Held
The Korea Federation of SMEs held the '2026 1st Joint Business Committee' meeting at the Yeouido headquarters on May 20.
The Joint Business Committee reviews current issues related to joint projects of SME cooperatives and discusses the discovery of new collaborative business initiatives. The meeting was attended by 10 committee members, including Chairman Kim Moonsik, head of the Korea Gas Station Operators Cooperative.
During the meeting, the committee reviewed the progress and areas for improvement in the support programs for joint business projects. In particular, discussions focused on measures to invigorate the 'exclusive guarantee system for SME joint purchasing' run by SME cooperatives, including improvements to the support system and procedures, as well as expanding incentives.

Chairman Kim Moonsik stated, "Joint purchasing is not only the most widely implemented collaborative project by SME cooperatives, but also their core business with the highest contribution to profits. Therefore, the role of the 'exclusive guarantee system for joint purchasing' in facilitating smooth procurement of raw materials and components is extremely important," adding, "I hope that the activation measures for the exclusive guarantee system for joint purchasing discussed at this meeting will lead to increased utilization, enabling more cooperatives and SMEs to receive tangible benefits."
