Seers and Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance to Launch Joint AI-Based Digital Healthcare Business
Seers will jointly promote an integrated digital healthcare platform business with Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance.
On May 20, Seers announced that it had signed a "Joint Business Agreement (MOU) to Establish a Mid- to Long-Term Healthcare Collaboration Model" with Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance. This agreement is designed to combine Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance's insurance data with Seers' artificial intelligence (AI)-based digital monitoring technology, in order to promote the development of aftercare services for post-discharge patients, disease prognosis prediction models, and the construction of an integrated digital care platform.
The two companies plan to establish an "aftercare service platform" by leveraging various cohort-based datasets held by the insurer and Seers' AI-powered wearable patient monitoring system. Through this, they aim to provide more continuous and precise management of customers' health conditions, implement a comprehensive healthcare service that encompasses prevention and prediction of disease progression, recovery management, and support for returning to daily life.
Seers possesses digital biomarker-based technology that enables continuous measurement and analysis of patients' vital signs, based on real-world data accumulated through its inpatient monitoring platform, thynC™, and its AI analytics capabilities. This technology is structured to extend beyond in-hospital patient monitoring to include post-discharge patient management and aftercare services.
