On May 19, Lee Donghwan, the People Power Party candidate for mayor of Goyang, met with a resident holding a solo protest at the Siksa intersection, demanding the extension of the Goyang-Eunpyeong Line to Siksadong. He listened to opinions on the necessity of extending the Goyang-Eunpyeong Line to Siksadong and the local transportation inconveniences.
On the 19th, Lee Donghwan, the People Power Party candidate for mayor of Goyang, met with a resident conducting a solo protest demanding the extension of the Goyang-Eunpyeong line to Siksadong at the Siksadong intersection site. Candidate Lee stated, “I take the transportation inconveniences of Siksa and Pungdong residents very seriously,” adding, “Since the extension of the Goyang-Eunpyeong Line to Siksadong is directly related to residents’ daily lives, I will actively consider pushing the project forward.”
Later, at 3:30 p.m. at the Hwajeong-dong campaign office, Lee met with executives from the Goyang City Floriculture Association, including the president and secretary general, to listen to industry requests such as the creation of a floriculture theme park, the expansion of production and distribution infrastructure, nurturing next-generation farmers, and the establishment of a consultative body between the city and the industry.
Lee also held a meeting with members of the Marine Corps Veterans Association, exchanging opinions on local volunteer activities, citizen safety, and cooperation measures for disaster response.
