School Forest Created in Unused Space at Sinseo Elementary in Daegu... Daegu Urban Development Corporation Holds Volunteer Activity
Daegu Urban Development Corporation (President Jeong Myung-seop) announced that on May 15, it carried out a tree-planting volunteer activity at Sinseo Elementary School to create a school forest.
This project is a public-private-academic social contribution initiative promoted in cooperation with Daegu Forest for Life, Sinseo Elementary School, and Daegu Urban Development Corporation. The aim is to create a school forest in unused areas within the school, providing students with an eco-friendly educational environment and contributing to the reduction of fine dust.

View original imageOn the day of the event, about 10 members of the Cheongaram Volunteer Group, composed of employees of Daegu Urban Development Corporation, participated along with representatives from Daegu Forest for Life and Sinseo Elementary School. They planted cherry trees and various herbaceous plants. The newly created school forest is expected to be used as an ecological transition education space and a resting area for students in the future. It is also anticipated to help foster students' ecological sensitivity and emotional stability.
