Korea Small and Medium Business Distribution Center Accepts Applications for SME Performance Certification and Pilot Purchase of Technology Development Products
Supporting the Entry of Outstanding Technology Development Products into the Public Procurement Market
The Korea Small and Medium Business Distribution Center announced on May 18 that it will proceed with the second round of applications for the Performance Certification System and the Pilot Purchase System for Technology Development Products. These programs are designed to help outstanding technology development products from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) smoothly enter the public procurement market.
The application period for the Performance Certification System runs until May 29, while applications for the Pilot Purchase System for Technology Development Products will be accepted online via the Comprehensive Public Procurement Information Network (SMPP) from May 27 through June 17.
The Performance Certification System verifies and certifies the performance of technology development products from SMEs, thereby facilitating purchases by public institutions. Products that obtain certification are eligible for negotiated contracts with public institutions in accordance with relevant laws, and can also be included as priority targets for public procurement of technology development products.
The Pilot Purchase System for Technology Development Products evaluates technology development products from SMEs and selects them as pilot purchase products, supporting public institutions in purchasing these items. The purchase records of pilot products are reflected in the management evaluations of the institutions, thereby encouraging public institutions to participate in the system and promote purchases.
