Hwaseong City to Begin Early Applications for the "2027 Organic Fertilizer Support Project" in June
Application Period Moved Up from November to June Starting This Year
Online Applications Open from June 1; In-Person Applications Begin on the 11th
Hwaseong Special City in Gyeonggi Province has announced that applications for the "2027 Organic Fertilizer Support Project" will be accepted starting in June 2026, aiming to promote the recycling of by-products from agriculture, forestry, and livestock, as well as to preserve soil quality.
This project targets farmers and agricultural corporations registered as agricultural management entities, and provides partial support for the purchase of organic fertilizers and composted organic fertilizers, with the goal of establishing a sustainable agricultural environment.
Notably, effective this year, the application period has been significantly adjusted in accordance with the amended project implementation guidelines. Whereas applications were previously accepted around November each year, the schedule has been moved forward to June and July. This change is intended to complete preliminary administrative procedures, such as the selection of suppliers, at an earlier stage and to facilitate the prompt supply of fertilizers to farms at the beginning of the year, thereby improving farming convenience.
Online applications can be submitted through the Agricultural e-Branch system from June 1 to June 10, 2026. Afterward, from June 11 to June 15, there will be a period for review, modification, and supplementation, after which the application details will be finalized.
In-person applications at district offices, towns, and villages will be accepted for 30 days from June 11 to July 10, 2026. Applications can be submitted to the industry team at the district office or the administrative welfare center of the town or village with jurisdiction over the location of the farmland.
The eligible recipients are farmland registered as agricultural management entities. Applicants must fill out and submit the application form, specifying the type of fertilizer, the amount requested, the desired supply period, and the preferred supplier.
However, the fertilizer prices provided during the application process are based on the previous year's information, so actual prices at the time of supply may vary.
For more detailed information regarding the project, inquiries can be made to the industry team at the district office or town/village administrative welfare center with jurisdiction over the farmland, or to the Eco-friendly Agriculture Team of the Agricultural Policy Division at Hwaseong City.
