View original imageThe election campaign committee of candidate Min Kyung-sun announced that it has signed a policy agreement with the Goyang City Eco-Friendly Farmers Association (President Yeom Hyun-soo), focusing on the development of agriculture in Goyang City and the expansion of eco-friendly organic farming.
This agreement reflects candidate Min's vision to transform the agricultural structure of Goyang City around eco-friendly practices in response to the climate crisis and to ensure stable income for farmers, as well as to guarantee citizens’ fundamental rights to safe food.
The core pledges agreed upon by both parties fall into four main directions. Candidate Min discussed a total of 11 key initiatives: ▲ Establishing a production base by implementing opportunity income for farmers and fishermen and expanding support for eco-friendly agriculture, ▲ Fostering the next generation by creating incubating farms for young eco-friendly farmers, ▲ Innovating the distribution system by prioritizing the supply of local agricultural products to public meal services, and ▲ Realizing universal food welfare by extending eco-friendly school meals to high school students and providing in-kind support to vulnerable groups.
In response to candidate Min’s agricultural policy vision, all members of the Goyang City Eco-Friendly Farmers Association declared their full support. The association stated, "What Goyang City needs right now is not just promises, but an innovative leader with proven ability and strong drive to overcome the current crisis," adding, "We strongly support candidate Min Kyung-sun as the right person to bring about real change in Goyang City."
