Under the agreement, Gangwon Land established a process to donate surplus hotel food in order to address local food insecurity and pledged to promote mutual growth in the local community through employee volunteer activities.
To put this into practice, on May 14, around 20 Gangwon Land employees, including a five-star hotel chef from High1 Resort, gathered at the Jeongseon Regional Self-Sufficiency Center to carefully prepare 200 lunchboxes featuring braised pork ribs and grilled chicken drumsticks made with premium hotel-grade ingredients.
The completed lunchboxes were delivered to 200 elderly single-person households in the Jeongseon area over two days, May 14 and 15. This activity is especially meaningful as it was held during Family Month, which includes Parents' Day, allowing the company to check in on the well-being of local seniors and put neighborly love into practice.
