I heard comments that people could directly feel how Dongdaemun has changed compared to four years ago, as well as their hopes and expectations for the future of Dongdaemun." He added, "For the remaining 20 days, I will continue to meet even more residents with a humble attitude. I will constantly reflect on how the voices of the people can further drive change in Dongdaemun, and I will make unceasing efforts to establish Dongdaemun as the heart of Seoul."
Lee's campaign highlighted that the approximately 20 billion won 'Cheongnyangni General Market Design Innovation and Traditional Market Establishment Project' had conditionally passed the Seoul Metropolitan Government’s Investment Deliberation Committee. This Cheongnyangni General Market project follows the final approval for investment in the Seoul Dongdaemun Municipal Library last October and the approval for a new multiplex cultural facility on the site of the former Jangandong Community Center this January.
