On May 14, tvN announced that actors Kim Yun-seok and Kim Sun-ho will be starring together in the new drama "Assemblyman, Please Protect Me."
The series is based on a KakaoPage web novel of the same name. It tells the story of Gu Young-jin, a six-term National Assembly member who returns to the past as a ghost, and Cha Jae-rim, a Grade 9 civil servant. The two protect each other as they carve out their destinies.
Kim Yun-seok plays Gu Young-jin, a political strategist at the center of power who dies after becoming entangled in a corruption scandal. Kim Sun-ho takes on the role of Cha Jae-rim, who is lured into politics by a ghostly politician.

The drama will be directed by Park Shin-woo, known for "Unknown Seoul" and "It's Okay to Not Be Okay," with the script written by Kwon Jong-gwan, the writer of "The Price of Confession."
