Korea Employers Federation Hosts the 38th Korea Labor-Management Cooperation Awards Ceremony
Kyung-sik Sohn, Chairman of the Korea Employers Federation, emphasized the importance of labor-management cooperation in responding to rapidly changing industrial structures and overcoming economic crises.

View original imageAt the 38th Korea Labor-Management Cooperation Awards ceremony held at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul on May 14, Chairman Sohn stated, "We are at the center of massive changes brought about by the global trade environment, intensified technological competition with rival countries, and industrial restructuring due to advances in AI." He further noted, "The economic situation is also becoming more challenging for companies, as they are experiencing heightened anxiety due to multiple external risk factors such as high exchange rates, high inflation, and Middle East conflicts."
Chairman Sohn stressed the importance of labor-management cooperation, saying, "In these times of change and crisis, the examples set by today’s award-winning companies serve as excellent proof that 'labor-management cooperation is competitiveness itself.'"
The awards ceremony was attended by Chairman Kyung-sik Sohn of the Korea Employers Federation, Dongmyeong Kim, Chairperson of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, Younghoon Kim, Minister of Employment and Labor, and Jihyung Kim, Chairperson of the Economic, Social and Labor Council, who celebrated and encouraged the management and labor representatives of the award-winning companies.
For the Korea Labor-Management Cooperation Awards, LX Pantos received the Grand Prize in the large enterprise category, Canon Korea was awarded the Excellence Prize in the large enterprise category, CITEC received the Grand Prize in the mid-sized and small enterprise category, and the Excellence Prize in the mid-sized and small enterprise category went to 'High1 SC' of Gangwon Southern Residents.

Chairman Sohn added, "We will support the widespread adoption of these award-winning companies' examples throughout the industry so that more companies can grow based on cooperative labor-management relations," and continued, "We will work to spread a culture of labor-management cooperation by communicating more actively with labor unions."
