The company aims to expand its global cooperation system, focusing on nuclear power plant operation, facility reliability management, and the advancement of maintenance systems.
On the 12th, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) at its headquarters in Gyeongju with Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC), a U.S. nuclear power plant operation specialist, to collaborate in the field of nuclear engineering.
This agreement was established to build a foundation for cooperation across all aspects of nuclear power plant operation, facility maintenance, facility reliability, and engineering systems. The two companies plan to enhance practical engineering capabilities and improve operational performance through technology exchange programs, workshops, and sharing of best practices.
In particular, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power intends to further advance its transition to an "engineering system" and its reliability-centered operation framework, which has been underway since December 2023, through this collaboration.
