It is the third such rest area, following the installations near Lotte Mart in Singal-dong and in front of the Sanggal Police Substation.
The "Smart Transportation Rest Area" in front of Singal Elementary School features a design tailored to the characteristics of the area, which is often dark and sparsely populated at night. Inside the facility, a photo zone featuring the city mascot "Joayong" has been installed to create a friendly and enjoyable environment for users.
On the technical side, the facility is equipped with customized features to enhance citizens' convenience and safety.
Regardless of the season, visitors can wait comfortably inside the "Smart Transportation Rest Area" thanks to air purification equipment, a heating and cooling system, and heated seats. By incorporating information and communication technology (ICT), the facility provides real-time bus arrival and approach information, as well as public Wi-Fi and wireless phone charging stations, further improving the convenience of public transportation use.
With citizens' safety as the top priority, the facility is equipped with surveillance closed-circuit televisions (CCTVs) and emergency bells that are directly connected to the 112 emergency control center for immediate assistance in case of an emergency. Additionally, an automated external defibrillator (AED) has been installed inside the rest area to prepare for medical emergencies, and digital signage delivers important city news in real time.
