Gyeonggi Tourism Organization to Provide Vacation Subsidies for 2,600 Vulnerable Workers
Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization are launching a vacation subsidy program for vulnerable workers.
The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization has decided to implement a vacation subsidy program for vulnerable workers who have difficulty enjoying sufficient rest due to financial and time constraints. Applications for participation are open until May 14.
This year’s program targets residents of Gyeonggi Province who are at least 19 years old and have an annual total income of 42 million won or less. The program aims to support a total of 2,600 people, an increase of 200 compared to last year.
The eligible recipients include 2,340 special-type workers and non-regular workers, such as home-study instructors, insurance planners, and delivery drivers, as well as 260 ultra-short-time workers who work less than 15 hours per week.
Selected participants will deposit 150,000 won themselves, and Gyeonggi Province will provide an additional 250,000 won, for a total vacation subsidy of 400,000 won.
Through a dedicated online mall, participants can freely use a variety of travel and leisure products, such as accommodation vouchers, tourist attraction tickets, cultural and artistic experiences, and travel packages. The accumulated funds can be used from June to November.
Applications can be submitted via PC or mobile through the dedicated online mall. However, if the usage rate of the accumulated funds is less than 60%, participation in the following year's program may be restricted, so it is recommended to use the funds within the designated period.
