"I Want to Complete the Path Built Over 23 Years"
On May 10 at 3 p.m., Kim Mikyung, the Democratic Party of Korea candidate for Eunpyeong District Mayor, held an opening ceremony for her campaign office, called 'Mi Camp,' near Yeonsinnae Station and officially began her election campaign. The campaign office is located on the first floor of the Parezephe Building, 830 Tongil-ro.

View original imageJung Cheongrae, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea and chair of Kim's campaign supporters' association, delivered a congratulatory message via video, stating, "I offer my enthusiastic support and congratulations for Candidate Kim Mikyung's meaningful start." Jeong Wono, candidate for Seoul Mayor, also sent a video message of support. Among those present at the event were Park Jumin, National Assembly member for Eunpyeong Gap of the Democratic Party of Korea; Bokwan, chief monk of Suguksa Temple; Dongheo, chief monk of Baekryeonsa Temple; as well as actor Lee Wonjong.
On this day, Kim unveiled her campaign slogan: "Difference in Experience, Difference in Future." Having previously served as both district and city council member, as well as the 7th and 8th popularly elected mayor of Eunpyeong District, Kim stated, "I want to complete the path I have built together with you over the past 23 years."
During the event, a campaign committee of approximately 200 members was also officially launched. The general campaign chair is former Eunpyeong District Council Chair Ki Noman, and the campaign team includes joint chairs and a campaign headquarters director. Kim emphasized the concept of a "one team" by appearing on stage with the Democratic Party of Korea candidates for Eunpyeong district and city council.

At the end of the event, participants held up picket signs expressing their hopes for Kim and chanted the slogan "One Team." Kim plans to officially launch her campaign for the local elections scheduled for June 3.
