Kim Kyungsoo Forms Election Campaign Committee ... "Seeking Solutions for Gyeongnam and Realizing Pledges"
Kim Kyungsoo, the Democratic Party of Korea candidate for governor of Gyeongnam Province, announced the formation of his election campaign committee on May 10 without holding a separate launch event.
Kim stated, "I judged that it is more important to spend time finding solutions for Gyeongnam and making campaign pledges a reality, rather than organizing ceremonial events for show."

Each task force will develop strategies related to: the early construction of the West Gyeongnam KTX and the new airport railway to Gadeokdo; securing an overwhelming competitive edge in Gyeongnam’s core industries such as aerospace, shipbuilding, defense, and nuclear power; expanding public healthcare and establishing a regionally independent medical system; promoting youth asset-building and talent return projects; and completing the second phase of public institution relocations as well as the innovation city initiative.
Additionally, the Provincial Unity Special Committee, led by Chairman Choi Gusik; the Emergency Economy and Livelihood Response Headquarters, jointly managed by candidate Kim Kyungsoo and Chairman Heo Sungmoo; a spokesperson group that includes Kim Jisoo, former chair of the Gyeongnam Provincial Council, Kim Myungseop, former spokesperson for the Gyeongnam Provincial Government, Park Hyunjoo, the number one proportional representative of the Democratic Party in the Provincial Council, and Shin Sunjeong, head of public relations at the Democratic Party’s Gyeongnam Provincial Office; and a legal support team that includes lawyer Ha Guinam, have also been established.
Kim emphasized, "This campaign committee is not a team that will disband after the election, but a group of skilled technicians and competent architects who will drive change in Gyeongnam from the very first day of my term as governor," adding, "After registering as a candidate on the 14th, I will hold the first campaign committee meeting and prove the results by moving the central government to awaken Gyeongnam."
