On the morning of May 9, he visited his hometown, Samgi-myeon in Gokseong County, to attend the "Samgi-myeon Residents' Day" event. Kim expressed his gratitude to the residents who offered their encouragement, saying, "I will never forget the unwavering affection of my hometown."
Later that afternoon, he attended the opening ceremony of his supporters' association in Suncheon. The event was a great success, drawing more than 1,000 supporters, including Cheon Jungbae, the head of the supporters' association.
At the event, Kim remarked, "I take your support and expectations very seriously, and I pledge to repay you through education," adding, "I will realize the vision of Korea’s K-Education Special City, changing the lives of every single child."
Kim continued his outreach by meeting with religious communities. On the night of May 9, he attended the Buddhist Association’s Lantern Lighting Ceremony in Gwangju, where he prayed for the well-being and peace of citizens and the community. On the morning of May 10, he visited Gwangju Saesoon Church to spend time with its congregation.
In the afternoon, Kim held a roundtable at his campaign office with the Life Agriculture Forum (headed by Joo Hoonseok) to discuss education and regional development with leaders from the agricultural sector. At this meeting, he signed the "Life Agriculture and Future Education Policy Agreement for the Era of Climate Crisis" with the forum, agreeing to further specify policy directions that combine agricultural bio-resources with future education.
Kim stated, "By listening to a wide range of voices in the field, I was able to clarify the direction of education even further," adding, "Education is most powerful when it moves forward in step with the local community. I will prove this through policy and respond with real change."
