North Korean Troops Participate in Russia's Victory Day Parade for the First Time

It has been confirmed that, for the first time, North Korean military units participated in Russia's Victory Day military parade on May 9.
On this day commemorating the victory in World War II, Russia's state-run TASS news agency released parade footage of the North Korean military units participating in the event on social media.

As the North Korean military appeared in Moscow's Red Square, officials including Sin Hong-chol, North Korea's ambassador to Russia, welcomed them from the stands by applauding.
TASS reported that this was the first time North Korean troops had marched together in Russia's Victory Day military parade.
Foreign media outlets gave significant coverage to the historic first march of North Korean troops in the Russian Victory Day parade.
Reuters and the Associated Press reported that the North Korean soldiers marching in Red Square were from a unit that fought alongside Russian forces in the Kursk region of Russia.
