During his remarks at the Central Election Countermeasures Committee meeting, party leader Jo Guk stated, "Candidate Bae Sujin is a legislative and legal expert, having served as an administrator in the Senior Civil Affairs Secretary's Office and as a National Assembly aide." He added, "She has also served as the chief secretary of the Special Committee on Political Reform and as a representative for the National Assembly in the impeachment case against Justice Minister Park Sung-jae." He continued, "If Bae Sujin is elected in Gwangju Gwangsan-eul and earns her badge, the 17 lawmakers in the Jeonnam-Gwangju Integrated Metropolitan City will be on high alert," emphasizing, "At this point, her qualifications are more than sufficient."

She noted, "In Daegu, competition leads to promises of administrative integration budgets and new airport support," while "in contrast, Gwangju has lost political competition to the extent that people are calling it an 'appointed election.'"
