Kangwon Land Achieves "S Grade" in Public Institution Personal Information Protection Assessment for Second Consecutive Year
Recognized for Responsible Management and Efforts to Promote a Culture of Personal Information Protection Inside and Outside the Organization
Kangwon Land (Interim CEO Nam Han-gyu) announced on the 6th that it has achieved the highest rating, "S Grade," in the "2025 Personal Information Protection Level Assessment" organized by the Personal Information Protection Commission.
The "2025 Personal Information Protection Level Assessment" was conducted for a total of 1,442 institutions, with the highest grade awarded to 54 institutions.
This year, a rigorous evaluation was carried out to verify whether public institutions' protection systems are effectively operating, following amendments to the Personal Information Protection Act. Kangwon Land was recognized for its excellence in various areas, including governance establishment, guaranteeing data subjects' rights, and management and supervision of entrusted parties, achieving the highest grade for the second consecutive year.
Kangwon Land has implemented in-person personal information protection training for entrusted companies and strengthened practical management and supervision activities by linking the management of entrusted companies to internal management evaluation performance indicators.
In addition, the approval authority for the internal management plan was elevated to the highest executive, ensuring responsible management, and the company took the lead in establishing proactive safety measures by operating a dedicated personal information protection organization and increasing the budget.
The company's efforts to guarantee the right to information for data subjects were also recognized. By producing and posting a personal information processing policy guide video on its website, Kangwon Land enabled everyone, including vulnerable groups, to easily understand how their personal information is handled.
