Namyangju City Recruiting Participants for Mystery Play "Heumheum Sinseo: Joseon Detective, Jeong Yak-yong"
Namyangju City in Gyeonggi Province announced on April 28 that it is recruiting participants for the interactive play program "Heumheum Sinseo: Joseon Detective, Jeong Yak-yong!" to be held at the Jeong Yak-yong Historic Site on May 24, May 31, and June 14. The program is aimed at upper elementary school students.

View original imageThis program is part of "A Year-Round Stroll Through Jeong Yak-yong's Masterpieces," which was selected for the 2026 National Heritage Administration's public contest project "Vibrant National Heritage Utilization Project." It is designed to help participants experience Jeong Yak-yong's scholarship and achievements in an easy and engaging way.
Participating students will take on the role of Jeong Yak-yong and, together with the Dasan Supporters, explore various parts of the historic site to solve the "Hambongnyeon Incident" featured in "Heumheum Sinseo."
Applications can be submitted starting at 10:00 a.m. on April 30 through the Naver Cafe "Namyangju City Vibrant National Heritage Utilization Project." The participation fee is 5,000 won.

Namyangju City also plans to operate a variety of experience programs in the second half of the year, such as "Abang Gangyeokgo: Joseon Astronomer and Geographer, Jeong Yak-yong!" and "Yoyudang Jeonseo: Joseon Mathematician, Jeong Yak-yong!"
