Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters Provides Gifts to Local Children's Centers for Children's Day
Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters of Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co., Ltd. (Director Kwon Wontak) held a ceremony at The-K Hotel Gyeongju on April 27 to provide Children's Day gifts to children from local children's centers in Gyeongju, in celebration of the upcoming Children's Day.
In particular, this year, Wolseong Units 1, 2, and 3 business divisions of Korea Plant Service & Engineering Co., Ltd. (KEPCO KPS) and the Nuclear Power Maintenance Technology Center also participated in supporting the Children's Day gifts.

View original imageLocal children's centers refer to Wolseong Headquarters as the "Santa Claus of May" every year for giving Children's Day gifts in May, establishing it as a source of special joy for the children.
At the ceremony, Kwon Wontak, Director of Wolseong Headquarters, and Jeon Hogwang, Executive Vice President of KEPCO KPS, personally participated and transformed into "Santa Claus" for the children, delivering gifts to about 10 representative children from different regions in a meaningful event.
There are a total of 28 local children's centers in Gyeongju, with approximately 842 children currently registered. Since 2015, Wolseong Headquarters has been providing annual support worth about 10 million won for 12 consecutive years.
Additionally, this year KEPCO KPS joined the effort, expanding the sponsorship to a total of 20 million won, with each organization contributing 10 million won.
Song Kyungho, President of the Gyeongju Association of Local Children's Centers, said, "We are grateful to Wolseong Nuclear Power Headquarters for their thoughtful care for all the children at the centers in Gyeongju every year."

In response, Director Kwon Wontak stated, "I would like to thank the staff at local children's centers for their important roles in raising and caring for the children," adding, "Although it is a small gift, I hope it brings excitement and joy to the children," and promised continued support activities in the future.
