Gyeonggi Province to Select 100 Young People for Overseas Employment and Startup Opportunities in 12 Countries Including the UK
Gyeonggi Province is publicly recruiting 100 young residents to participate in its Overseas Employment, Startup, and Entrepreneurship Opportunity Expansion Project.
This project, implemented by the Gyeonggi Business & Science Accelerator, aims to strengthen the global employment and entrepreneurship capabilities of young people by providing practical experience at overseas industrial sites and mentoring from business professionals.
Rather than simple tours, the program is operated as an experience-based initiative linked with local businesses and industries. Participants will directly experience overseas business environments, deepen their understanding of specific job roles, and develop international awareness, thereby laying the groundwork for long-term overseas advancement.
The program will take place in 12 cities across 12 countries: Tokyo (Japan), London (United Kingdom), Toronto (Canada), Singapore, Warsaw (Poland), Istanbul (Türkiye), Jakarta (Indonesia), Bengaluru (India), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Chongqing (China), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), and Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan).
Participants will receive support for overseas corporate experience programs, as well as accommodation, meals, airfare, travel insurance, and visa issuance fees (for countries where required).
Eligible applicants are young people aged 19 to 39 who reside in Gyeonggi Province as of the announcement date and are able to participate in a four-week overseas corporate experience program.
The four-week program will include a variety of activities depending on the location, such as local business language training, mentoring, job training, trade marketing practice at local Korean companies, and participation in overseas exhibitions.
