Yangju-si in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 26th that the "Final Report Presentation for the Feasibility Study and Private Investment Eligibility Assessment for the Establishment of a Public Hospital in Northeastern Gyeonggi Province," held on the 25th, showed a benefit-cost ratio (B/C) of 1.20. This figure significantly exceeds the project feasibility threshold of 1.0, demonstrating both the economic viability and policy relevance of establishing a public hospital in Yangju.

View original imageAccording to the results of the feasibility study, the Yangju Public Hospital is planned to be built within the Okjeong District as a general hospital with 400 beds. This is an expansion from the originally planned 300 beds, and it will serve not only Yangju-si but also neighboring areas such as Yeoncheon and Dongducheon, positioning itself as a key medical institution in northern Gyeonggi Province.
The new public hospital will operate 18 medical departments and 16 specialized (characteristic) centers, including a psychiatric emergency center and an eye health clinic. It will function as an "integrated medical hub," connecting essential healthcare and care services within the region.
