View original imageIn an interview with Iranian state TV that day, Minister Araghchi said, "There are no ongoing talks with the United States at present," and clarified, "Messages are being conveyed through various intermediaries, but an exchange of messages does not constitute negotiations with the United States."
He further explained, "The Iranian leadership is reviewing the peace proposal put forward by the United States through a mediating country," but added, "There is still no intention to engage in direct dialogue with the United States."
He also sent a message to neighboring countries, urging them to keep their distance from the United States. Minister Araghchi argued the futility of security policies relying on the United States, stating, "Although the United States maintains numerous military bases in the region, it has ultimately failed to protect its neighboring countries."
Additionally, he stressed, "Iran does not seek war and desires a permanent end to the conflict," emphasizing, "For hostilities to end, there must first be a complete cessation of war and compensation for the facilities that have been destroyed."
