The Gwangyang Bay Area Free Economic Zone Authority (hereinafter referred to as "Gwangyang FEZ Authority"), together with Jeonnam Province, participated in the "Inaugural Ball 2026," the inauguration ceremony of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM), held at the Grand Hyatt Seoul Hotel on March 20. There, the authority carried out investment attraction activities targeting American global companies.
This large-scale business networking event brought together more than 700 participants, including the acting Ambassador of the United States to Korea, the newly appointed AMCHAM board members, and CEOs of global companies. The event focused on exploring opportunities for investment cooperation in the context of expanding Korea-U.S. economic collaboration and the ongoing restructuring of global supply chains.

In particular, the authority emphasized the Gwangyang Bay Area's unique investment environment, including its secondary battery material cluster, smart manufacturing infrastructure, and port and logistics facilities.
During the event, Gwangyang FEZ Authority and Jeonnam Province held investment consultations with key member companies of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea.
Through these activities, they promoted Jeonnam's strengths as a hub for energy and maritime industries in Northeast Asia, as well as future industries such as semiconductors and artificial intelligence, alongside the Gwangyang Bay Area's secondary battery material cluster and smart innovative manufacturing infrastructure, thereby expanding the foundation for attracting investment in advanced industries.
