The Gwanak Creative Arts Gifted Education Center was jointly established in 2013 by Gwanak District and the College of Fine Arts at Seoul National University to discover students with artistic talent and potential and nurture them as the next generation of artistic talent. Faculty members from Seoul National University and experts in the arts participate in the program, offering a curriculum that integrates the humanities, social sciences, and arts.

The goal is to identify artistic talent at an early stage through a systematic learning environment that progresses from the basics to advanced levels. Step-by-step and level-specific digital convergence education utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) will be provided, and a new career exploration program related to art professions will be introduced.
The program will run from May to October 2026. Students will participate in art creation activities and field trips to cultural complex facilities, and an intensive summer camp for advanced learning and collaboration will be held during the school break. All courses are free of charge.
Eligibility is limited to students in grades 4 to 6 of elementary school and other youths of the same age group who reside in Gwanak District. Of the total 30 available spots, 20% will be preferentially selected from among socially disadvantaged youths. Applications will be accepted from March 23 to March 27. The announcement of the first round of document screening results will take place on April 6, followed by a practical skills evaluation and in-depth interview on April 11, and the final list of successful candidates will be announced on April 20.
