View original imageOn the 19th, the Gwangju and Jeonnam areas are expected to see partly cloudy skies, with a significant difference between daytime and nighttime temperatures, reaching around a 15-degree Celsius range.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration on March 18, Gwangju and Jeonnam will be affected by the edge of a high-pressure system moving eastward near the Shandong Peninsula in China, which will bring this weather pattern.
Temperatures are expected to remain similar to the average for this time of year (average lows between 1 and 5 degrees Celsius, average highs between 13 and 16 degrees Celsius) for the time being. On the 19th, morning lows will range from -1 to 5 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs will be between 9 and 16 degrees Celsius.
In particular, some inland areas will see morning temperatures fall below zero, resulting in chilly conditions. However, as temperatures rise during the day, the daily temperature range will become very large, around 15 degrees Celsius.

A representative from the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration stated, "Due to the wide daily temperature fluctuations expected for the time being, immunity may decrease, so please pay special attention to your health during the seasonal transition." The official also advised, "For coastal areas such as Heuksando and Hongdo, where a strong wind advisory is currently in effect, please take extra care in managing facilities and preventing safety accidents."
