POSCO Group will transfer 112 of its proprietary technologies free of charge to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and mid-sized companies.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy announced that it will host the "2026 MOTIE–POSCO Group Technology Sharing Event" at EL Tower in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, on March 18, 2026. The event will be attended by Choi Yeonwoo, Director General for Industrial Technology Convergence Policy at the Ministry, Chun Hyunjin, Executive Director of POSCO Holdings, and representatives of beneficiary companies.
At this event, POSCO Group will transfer 112 technologies across a range of fields—including machinery and equipment, materials and processes, energy, and eco-friendly resources—to 75 companies.
Since 2017, POSCO Group has continued its technology sharing initiative, having opened a total of 4,569 technologies to date. Of these, 926 technologies have been transferred free of charge to 480 SMEs and mid-sized companies.
This year, technologies in the machinery and equipment sector were transferred to the greatest number of companies, while the energy technology "Battery Control System Diagnostic Device" has attracted significant attention. This technology is notable for its ability to detect abnormalities in individual battery units within a battery pack at an early stage.
In addition, a variety of technologies—such as solid fuel manufacturing devices utilizing waste materials, artificial intelligence-based sample analysis technology, ultrasonic cleaning devices, and cleaning robot control technology—will also be transferred.
