Shinan County Launches Agricultural Product Processing Entrepreneurship Training
Strengthening Farmers' Entrepreneurial Capabilities Expected
Shinan County in South Jeolla Province is implementing training programs to increase the added value of local agricultural products and strengthen farmers' capabilities in processing and entrepreneurship.
The county announced that it will operate the "2026 Agricultural Products Processing Entrepreneurship Training Course" to help farmers develop processed products using their own produce and connect these efforts to business startups.
This training targets farmers interested in agricultural product processing and will be conducted over a total of six sessions from March 16 to April 1.
The curriculum includes ▲ procedures for launching an agricultural product processing business ▲ food hygiene and safety management ▲ marketing strategies utilizing AI ▲ hands-on practice with processing equipment. The program will combine theory and practical training, with a focus on strengthening participants' actual entrepreneurial skills.
Through practical training using the center's processing facilities and equipment, participants will have the opportunity to produce processed products themselves, providing valuable experience to help them prepare for starting their own businesses.
The center is operated mainly by the joint management organization "Matitsey Agricultural Cooperative Corporation," which consists of about 30 members. Local farmers participate in both production and management of the products.
