View original imageThe Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 16th that it held an "Integrity Policy Discussion" aimed at improving systems in corruption-prone areas and enhancing overall integrity.
The discussion, which took place in the main office situation room on the same day, was attended by about 40 people, including the Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, department heads from the main office, and heads of local education support offices. The event was organized to share factors hindering integrity, which were identified based on the results of integrity evaluations, in-depth interviews, and member surveys, and to discuss response strategies for improving overall integrity.
The discussion proceeded with departments responsible for corruption-prone areas presenting their strategies for improving integrity in their respective fields, followed by participants offering related opinions. In particular, the event focused on seeking improvement measures such as establishing integrity governance and strengthening the sense of responsibility for integrity among all members.
Additionally, the proposed measures to enhance overall integrity included: conducting undercover inspections of athletic teams, strengthening customized counseling for personnel management, and implementing the "Happy Talk" survey for contract management.
The Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education plans to promote policies to improve integrity based on the content discussed.
