[Today's New Product] Complete 30 Dishes... Lotte Wellfood Launches 'All-Purpose Seasoning'
Convenient Sauce Brand "Yorikick"
Stepping Up Its Strategy to Capture the All-Purpose Sauce Market
Lotte Wellfood announced on March 16 that it has launched two new products under its convenient sauce brand “Yorikick”: “All-Purpose Soy Sauce Seasoning” and “All-Purpose Gochujang Seasoning.” The company aims to expand its lineup and strengthen its strategy to capture a larger share of the convenient sauce market.
The company explained, “As dining out prices have recently risen, demand for so-called ‘home-cooked meals’ is increasing, which is also driving growth in the convenient sauce market. Since these sauces can be used in a variety of dishes without the need to make your own seasoning, they are attracting attention from both cooking beginners and consumers looking to save time.”
The new products are characterized by the use of the basic Korean seasoning combination called “jang-seol-pa-ma-hu-cham-ggae,” which includes jang (soy sauce or gochujang), sugar, onion, garlic, pepper, sesame oil, and ground sesame seeds. These sauces are blended to be used in a wide range of Korean dishes such as stir-fried, braised, and steamed recipes. In addition, apple and pear have been added to provide a natural sweetness and enhance umami flavor.
Each product can be used in about 30 different recipes. The All-Purpose Soy Sauce Seasoning is suitable for dishes like beef bulgogi, braised pork ribs, Andong-style braised chicken, and beef jangjorim, while the All-Purpose Gochujang Seasoning is ideal for spicy dishes such as stir-fried pork, braised chicken, and tteokbokki.
