Broadcaster Eva Popiel, who gained fame through the entertainment program "Beauties' Talk," has officially become a citizen of the Republic of Korea by acquiring Korean nationality.
On March 3, Eva Popiel shared photos from her nationality certificate awarding ceremony on her social media, accompanied by the brief caption, "Finally. Thank you." The photos uploaded on her social media show Eva smiling brightly in front of the Korean flag at the ceremony held at the Yangju Immigration Office in Gyeonggi Province. After receiving her nationality certificate, she expressed her joy at the moment she officially became a citizen of Korea.

She spent her school years in the United Kingdom, majored in Chinese at university, and developed an interest in East Asian cultures. Through interactions with Korean friends, she naturally became interested in Korean culture as well. This interest led her to come to Korea as an international student in 2005, which marked the beginning of her connection with the country.
The following year, in 2006, she became known to the public by appearing on the KBS 2TV variety show "Global Talk Show." On this program, which discussed Korean society and culture from the perspective of foreigners, she became very popular by showcasing her fluent Korean and candid remarks. In 2010, Eva Popiel married a Korean man who is one year younger than her and settled in Korea. After marriage, she obtained permanent residency and gave birth to two sons in 2013 and 2016, building her family. She has balanced her broadcasting career with parenting for many years in Korea. As her life in Korea lengthened, she decided to pursue naturalization. Last year, she took the naturalization interview and, upon passing, shared the news and received much support. At the time, she commented, "It has been 20 years since I moved to Korea," and added, "I have decided to take on this challenge now," drawing public attention.
