S-OIL Delivers 30 Million Won in Consolation Money to Family of Fallen Firefighter
Support for the Family of Senior Fire Lieutenant Seong Chiin Who Died in the Line of Duty During Firefighting
S-OIL will provide consolation money to the bereaved family of a firefighter who was injured while extinguishing a fire and later died in the line of duty.

View original imageOn March 4, S-OIL announced that it would deliver 30 million won in consolation money to the family of Senior Fire Lieutenant Seong Chiin of the Haengsin Safety Center at Goyang Fire Station, who died in the line of duty after being injured and receiving treatment while extinguishing a fire at an auto repair shop in Deokyang-gu, Goyang.
Senior Fire Lieutenant Seong Chiin was dispatched to the scene of a fire that broke out at an auto repair shop in Deokyang-gu, Goyang, around noon on November 24 last year. While engaged in firefighting activities, he was found at the scene around 12:30 p.m. in a state of cardiac arrest. He was transported to the hospital and had been receiving treatment, but ultimately passed away in the afternoon on March 3.
An S-OIL representative said, "We offer our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the soul of the firefighter who suffered an unfortunate accident while dedicating himself to protecting the safety and lives of the public. We hope that this consolation money will help the family overcome their grief and regain stability in their lives, even if only a little."
