Former Senior Executive Vice President Kim Byungchul Appointed New CEO of KDB Life Insurance

KDB Life Insurance announced that it appointed former Senior Executive Vice President Kim Byungchul as its new Chief Executive Officer, following approval at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and a board of directors meeting held on the 26th.
Born in 1969, the new CEO Kim graduated from Yonsei University and entered the insurance industry in 1999 as an insurance planner.
He is expected to take the lead on key tasks for normalizing management, including operating a specialized organization for so-called "third-sector insurance" and designing a roadmap that covers everything from product development to overall sales.
A KDB Life Insurance official said, "The new CEO Kim is the right person to address KDB Life Insurance's immediate challenges and strengthen the company's fundamentals."
