Namyangju City Holds Briefing on Basic Plan for Wangsuk, Wangsuk 2 and Jinjeop 2 District Smart City Construction Project

View original imageThis briefing session was organized to gather a wide range of opinions on the new town smart city service plan being promoted by Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), under the municipal vision of making this year the "first year of realizing a future-oriented self-sufficient city that citizens can truly experience."
Attendees at the venue included Policy Chief Oh Cheolsoo of Namyangju City, relevant public officials, external experts, representatives from LH and the municipal research institute. The briefing focused on discussing the draft new town smart city services, centered on 23 proposed services in 8 sectors.
Relevant city departments and external experts shared key points such as reviewing the practical suitability of smart city services to be applied to the new town, proposing additional services by department to enhance citizen convenience, and supplementing and developing the services through expert consultation.
In addition, they closely examined smart city services that are closely connected to citizens' daily lives, such as transportation, environment and welfare, and checked whether they could be operated in a practical manner. They actively gathered additional proposals from each department and expert opinions, and discussed ways to improve urban safety and everyday convenience.
Based on the opinions presented at this briefing, the city plans to work closely with LH to enhance the completeness and feasibility of the plan. Through this, it intends to develop the Wangsuk, Wangsuk 2 and Jinjeop 2 districts into customized smart cities and provide citizens with the benefits of advanced services that they can feel in their daily lives.
