The county announced that on the 20th it held an event titled "Time to Open the Window of Communication, Mokyo Daehwa" at the Samho-eup Administrative Welfare Center, where it listened to the difficulties faced by delivery workers, including delivery agency riders. The meeting was organized to share the challenges encountered in the field of delivery work and to explore improvement measures to create a safer working environment.
Participants proposed strengthening road safety management in winter, cracking down on illegal parking and stopping during commuting hours, establishing measures to prevent kickboard traffic accidents, and reinforcing safety facilities in accident-prone sections. In particular, they focused on raising issues regarding traffic safety in sections with insufficient snow removal during bad weather and in areas with chronic congestion.
Yeongam County stated that it would consult with relevant agencies and proceed with measures such as strengthening snow removal operations in high-risk sections, expanding traffic safety management, intensively cracking down on illegal parking and stopping, conducting joint crackdowns with the police, and expanding safety infrastructure.
